A Bit About Us
Academic Coaching, Inc., seeks to help those students in need of academic assistance. Students struggle with academic issues for a variety reasons. Here at Academic Coaching, Inc., we focus on identifying the areas of weakness and work to strengthen them. We also know many of the teachers and the academic content they are teaching, which helps us focus the student’s efforts. Through a combination of applying specific tools to teach a specific subject and working to focus the student’s energy, Academic Coaching, Inc., aids the student in gaining a sense of confidence to overcome challenges.

Christine Green is a native Houstonian and has been tutoring for over 20 years. She attended middle school and high school at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston, TX. Christine has been teaching and tutoring since high school. She fulfilled her community service hours in high school by student teaching and tutoring at Our Lady of Guadalupe School. Upon completion of high school with honors, she received a full four year scholarship to the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. During her years at UST, she volunteered as ESL (English as second language) teacher and did student teaching at Annunciation Greek Orthodox School. With honors, she graduated with a Bachelor in Arts with a concentration in Spanish and Theology. Shortly, after graduation she formally began her tutoring business. Her love of learning enkindled in her a desire to pursue an M.A at UST. In 2007, with high honors, she received her M.A. with a concentration in Women, Culture, and Society. In 2018, Christine was selected to serve on the alumnae board of University of St. Thomas. As a board member, she seeks to help others learn about UST as well as help high school students with college readiness.
